Google has just made official the next version of Android. This has posed trouble for Samsung. Although Samsung will try and push to launch Android 13 this year.
Well Samsung is still pretty much invested on Android 12 and One UI 4 updates. That must change and transform into Android 13 and One UI 5. The tech giant has been quiet all this time but we can surely expect some movements in the upcoming days.Â
Android 13
Samsung’s new Android software will look completely different to what Google will release on their Pixel phones. Mainly because Samsung will use One UI.
The job of One UI is to provide new designs, enhancements on current features and of course, new features. Nothing is confirmed yet but one things for sure, One UI 5 is going to enhance the overall speed of the phones.
Well Google’s plans for Android 13 are almost known by every person now. We must stat vary as Samsung’s Android 13 can also add similar features to that of Google’s.
Samsung adopted the habit of keeping major Galaxy devices updated with Android software updates for two years. They have changed their course now. The tech company says it is now ready to provide four years of major software updates to selected devices. This is a huge breakthrough for Galaxy owners as they can now hold onto their devices for two more years.
These devices will be getting four years of foremost Android releases.
Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, Galaxy S22 Ultra, Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, Galaxy S21 Ultra, Galaxy S21 FE.
Apparently, Galaxy Z series will also be included in the list.
Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+, Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra – these devices will also be getting benefitted from this change of policy by Samsung.
When Will It Launch
Well Google says that they will release their version of Android 13 in a few weeks but Samsung won’t be able to beat them to it. The soonest we can see Samsung launching Android 13 is in fall. Google can take their launching event to September as well.
If Samsung gets its developer beta process underway imminently, we might see Android 13 earlier. Nonetheless, Samsung is expected to launch Android 13 in the last months of 2022. Perhaps December is very likely.
