Blogging platforms have been around for a while, but many of the earlier ones needed a lot of coding to be customized any way you saw fit. But things have changed, and now anyone with little to no programming skills can easily create a fancy-looking website. One of the most well-liked programs for creating a website where you may express your interests and thoughts is called Ghost. Later, you can use it to earn money from your knowledge. Knowing what you can and cannot do with it is a good idea.
What Is Ghost?
Ghost is a platform for creating websites created for the creator economy. Since its initial 2013 release, it has accumulated over three million installations. At the time of writing in December 2022, the platform has more than 16,000 active users. The Ghost software is open-source and has many ways to customize it.
Some well-known publishers and businesses use Ghosts, such as Buffer, DuckDuckGo, and Unsplash. Other creators who make use of the service include Ali Abdaal. Depending on whether you’re an artist, publisher, or corporation, the service provides various tools.
Is Using Ghost Expensive?
Ghost features a progressive pricing model, so your subscription rates will rise as more people join your website. Four options are available to you at first: Starter, Creator, Team, and Business. However, the Starter plan is no longer available if your audience reaches a specific size. Ghost costs are as follows for new content creators with less than 500 subscribers:
Starter: $9 per month (annually), $11 per month as a starter (monthly)
Creator: $25 per month (annually), $31 per month for the creator (monthly)
Team: $50 (annually) each month and $63 per month (monthly)
Business: $249 monthly (annually), $199 monthly (monthly)
Up till you have 400,000 subscribers, prices rise. After that, you can contact the Ghost staff to discuss your price plan.
Ghost Has How Many Themes?
You’ll have access to several themes for your website when you sign up for a Ghost plan. You can immediately select one of the 12 free themes from the UI. After selecting them, you’ll have various customization options; we’ll talk more about this later.
You may also visit the Ghost Marketplace. Many additional free themes are available here in various categories, including news and blogs. But if you’d like, you may also buy a variety of paid themes.
Blogging With Ghost
Using a blogging platform is a terrific method to expand your audience regardless of your creative field. Your website can gain more visitors and serve as a platform to communicate your ideas and emotions on various topics. If you have a user-friendly platform for this, as Ghost does, blogging frequently will be much simpler. Your posts may be divided into separate sections, and you can include other types of media, such as Spotify podcasts. Additionally, writing is simple, and the user interface responds rather rapidly. You can choose photos from Unsplash and add them directly to your article when blogging with Ghost.
