 Barbie’s representation of real people will expanded with the 2022 Fashionistas line of dolls. A Barbie in 2020, which had vitiligo and was among the top five Fashionistas best sellers in the United States. In addition, there will be more Barbie and Ken dolls with a variety of body types, hairstyles, and clothing options. There will also be a Barbie with a prosthetic leg.

An Educational Audiologists Has Collaborated At Mattel:
To assure accuracy in the hearing aids in the Fashionistas series, Mattel collaborated with renowned educational audiologist Jen Richardson, AuD, who has more than 18 years of experience in hearing loss advocacy. Dr. Richardson stated, “I’m thrilled to have collaborated with Barbie to develop an authentic reflection of a doll with behind-the-ear hearing aids. Dr. Richardson continued, “Seeing people with hearing loss reflected in a doll is inspiring.” I’m overjoyed for my young patients to interact with a doll that resembles them and play with it.
What Kind Of Dolls The Brand Have Been Releasing Throughout The Years?
