Country music artist Lauren Alaina has decided to postpone her forthcoming performances in order to mourn the passing of her father. In a heartfelt message on social media, the singer of “Road Less Traveled” expressed, “We lost my dad last night, and I really don’t have words yet.”
Alaina communicated to her fans that she will not be appearing at scheduled events in Savannah, Virginia Beach, and Charlotte, as she has chosen to prioritize time with her family. She expressed her gratitude to her supporters for their “prayers and understanding,” stating, “I will be spending time with my family at home.”
Numerous country music artists expressed their sympathies. Jake Owen stated, “Lauren, I extend my heartfelt condolences for your loss. My family sends you love and strength.” MacKenzie Porter remarked, “You and your family will remain in our thoughts and prayers,” while Martina McBride conveyed, “I am sending you an abundance of love.”
A few weeks prior to his death, Alaina honored her father on Father’s Day through a touching Instagram post, stating, “To ‘my old man’ with a heart the size of Texas, happy Father’s Day!!”
Alaina, currently on tour with Jason Aldean, has not disclosed the circumstances surrounding her father’s passing.
